It cooks hard, medium, or soft boiled eggs to perfection. The cooker turns itself off automatically when the eggs are cooked.  In my opinion is feels well designed and reliable. In terms of drawbacks I found that the line markings on the measuring cup were hard to read after a couple of weeks.
